Fiesta Day Parade
September 1
The Parade Starts at 10:00 am.
- Doug will meet me at 7:00 a.m. at our staging area (map attached) on Evans facing North (map is a little different this year showing exactly where we are but this year it just says semi trucks will all line up on Evans facing north!) – we are #14
- Staging Area: Evans facing North
- Decorating by staff members that signed up to decorate for this parade will be there at 7:00 a.m. since judging is at 7:30 a.m. this year instead of 8 a.m.
- Mariachi and Folklorico groups will also need to arrive at 7:15 to make the judging at 7:30 a.m.
- All students 6th through 12th need to be there by 9:15a.m. in order to participate in walking – K-5 must have parent/guardian walking with them. The parade starts at 10a.m. but may leave a few minutes early or a few minutes late so students and participants need to be there on time or a bit earlier – Map is attached
- Water and breakfast bars will be provided – STAY HYDRATED!
- Parent drop off is corner of Abriendo/Baystate. Do not park on streets that are staging locations.
- The semi will do a circle back to staging area – the semi will briefly stop at the end of the parade to let walkers back on safely and return to staging area (Map Attached)
- Teardown crew will need to be at staging area BE THERE BEFORE END OF PARADE. You will never make it through with all of the crowds to try to get there after the parade, be there by at least by 10:30a.m.
- Parents need to be called prior to event to make sure they are at the end of the parade to pick up their child promptly at the conclusion of the parade – Same place they are dropped off at the staging area.
- Students need to be monitored at all times.
